ISE/Magtech Gages may be hot or cold insulated. A variety of blankets are available for maintaining process temperatures or for personnel and weather protection.

Many gauges are insulated in place after installation. The gauge lends itself well to this type of insulation. For cold service the indicator tube is sealed in RTV (Silicon Rubber) then the rest of the gauge is insulated after installation.

The standard insulation blanket for ISE/Magtech gauges consists of a 2 inch thick, 6# Cer-Wool HP enclosed on all sides with 3201-2-SS Silicone coated fiberglass cloth. High temperature blankets (500 - 750 deg. F) have 304SS mesh on the hot face.
