Various types of process tanks frequently need some type of automatic level control.

Receiver vessels need to be pumped to storage when they become full (pump down) and feed tanks need to be refilled when they become low (pump up). A Magtech level gauge with high and low switch contacts is a natural for this type operation.

MLS-3 or MLS-3EX swtiches can be used in conjunction with a Latching Relay Controller (LRC) for pump-up or pump-down operation. LRCs are reasonably priced and are able to run most & medium sized pumps.

Additional level switches can be added to the level gauge for high-high and low-low alarms. These may be used to start a second pump or actuate a shut down system.
